Original essay on: To learn, we depend on our senses to process

FIND A SOLUTION  AT  Academic Writers Bay

To learn, we depend on our senses to process the information around us. Most people tend to
use one of their senses more than the others. This assignment will help you determine which
of these learning styles you rely on the most.
Your assignment is to take the three Learning Style Assessments (found in the Week 5
Additional Materials folder) and Personality Assessments (listed below). Synthesize what
you have learned from your self-assessments. Do some additional research on these topics.
Write a paper summarizing your thoughts on learning style and the self-assessments. Include
how you can apply your knowledge of learning styles and self-assessments to better your
professional and personal life. How does knowing about this information affect you and
those who you could potentially manage in the future? Identify how your company uses
personality tests in your work place. Does your company utilize personality assessments? If
so, which tools are used? If your current employer does not use these assessments, have any
of your previous employers used them? How are these assessments used? For instance, some
companies use the Myers-Briggs for team building while others use the Predictive Index for
hiring decisions and other personnel moves. Are these assessments useful? Use factual
information to support your analysis.
Your essay should be 2½ – 3 single-spaced pages. Either attach your paper or copy and paste
your answer to Discussion Board 5.2.

Bystander Effect

Self-serving Bias

Introduction: This assignment requires you to create an abnormal and normal person. Throughout the chapter there is a recurring theme of building and refining a definition of abnormality—yet there is no place within the text—nor is there within the DSM in which “normal” is defined. What is normal? Shouldn’t we know the definition of normality if we are going to be talking about abnormality? This written activity requires you to individually introspect and write about abnormality, normality, and transforming abnormality to normality.
The Assignment :
Ready to be all-powerful? This first introspection requires you to build an abnormal “person.” That’s right, a pure abnormal human-being from every significant perspective of psychological human experience. Specifically, you’ll be building a person that is affectively, behaviorally, cognitively, and perceptually abnormal. Additionally, you’ll address WHY this person is abnormal.
Describe and introspect (i.e., why) on the affects, behaviors, cognitions, and perceptions of your absolutely abnormal person
Come-up with a technical name for your syndrome.
Describe this abnormal person’s environment. That is, address this person’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development, up-bringing, family, and current living situation.
Describe a typical day (a full 24-hour period) in this abnormal person’s life.
The second introspection will be titled: Making It NormalReady to be all-powerful, again? This second introspection requires you to build a normal “person.” That’s right, a pure normal human-being from every significant perspective of psychological human experience. Specifically, you’ll be building a person that is affectively, behaviorally, cognitively, and perceptually normal. Additionally, you’ll address WHY this person is normal.
Describe and introspect (i.e., why) on the affects, behaviors, cognitions, and perceptions of your absolutely normal person. Come-up with a technical name for your virtuous person.
Describe this normal person’s environment. That is, address this person’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development, up-bringing, family, and current living situation.

Lastly, describe this person relative to the following strengths and virtues (Peterson & Seligman, 2004):I: Wisdom and Knowledge (creativity: originality; curiosity: interest; open-mindedness: judgment, critical thinking; love of learning; perspective)
II: Courage (bravery, persistence: perseverance; integrity: honesty, authenticity; vitality: zest, enthusiasm, vigor, energy)
